hey guys! So I installed some 3/8” uhmw plastic on a hull today and thought I should do a little write up on him I did it. So the process goes (after your plastic is cut to size) it is drilled, tapped, countersunk, rubber backed washer is placed on the inside then a Nylock nut is used to secure it all. All the hardware I used was 5/16” stainless. 5/16” x1 1/4” long with an Allen head. I did 2” spacing around the intake, 4” around the other edge and about 8” throughout the center. Hope this helps guys. Used this method with a few boats now. They have been subject to an incredible amount of abuse and never had a bolt leak yet!

How did you make the edge uhmw pieces that go up the side of the hull? -
