  • Yamaha intake build

First off I started with my pump size (155mm Yamaha) and my intake size (7”x14”). I made may opening approximately 30% larger than the stock intake to accommodate for the new stomp grate taking up intake space. Most openings I’ve found seem to be about 100”sq and work well in this range.

After all my diamentions were we’re figured out I made a cardboard mock up to make sure everything would fit with my engine and driveshaft height.

Time to head to the shop!

      Hi
the ones I have built are 7' wide by 20" long and I can run 1/4" bars at 3/16" spacing and they seem to be able to pack up with alot of crap before you notice theres a problem
not saying yours won't work just giving you my dimensions for comparison

good luck they are a lot of work to build!
